A: Yes, and the so called "Dormant" Spray is what you should apply. We carry this spray. One is for insects and the other is for disease. Temperature should be above forty degrees with no rain for twelve hours. I would also apply some of our organic fertilizer " Cold Climate" at the rate of one cup per foot of height.

Q: How should I treat my "cleaned-up" vegetable garden?

A: I would apply 25# of our organic fertilizer "Cold Climate" per 500 Sq. Ft. of garden space and apply at least 3"-6" of our manure free organic compost over the entire area. This will be the very best thing you could do. If you do this every year your garden will be one of the top producers in your neighborhood...... 

Q: There is a plant that I have seen in some landscapes that has very bright red stems and branches.... what is it.

A: Sounds like you have been observing the popular Red Twig Dogwood shrub. We have many in stock as well as the hard to find dwarf variety. Now is a PERFECT time of the year to get them planted. Happy Planting....

Q: My lilac didn't bloom this year and someone told me to apply a spray in the fall.

A: Yes that is right.......... spray the plant with liquid copper spray along with a spreader sticker. We carry both and this should help your ailing lilacs. Also feed with our organic "Cold Climate" fertilizer.
